In our ever-increasing fast pace of business, hiring the right candidates is a huge industry. But how do employees hired at one level become upwardly mobile and work their way into management—without any training in management skills? How can you help people to become good leaders? We provide our unique blend of engaging activities combined with serious content. This keeps people energized, participating, and learning by doing. Each person takes a turn leading the group through a series of team challenges that can be customized or created specifically for your business. After each one, there is discussion about what the leader did well and what the team might have needed from the leader in order to achieve a higher level of success.
In formulating leadership training programs, we collaborate with you to identify goals and create content to educate and encourage leadership skills and growth. We have created programs that are quarterly meetings and build leadership skills over a period of time as well as single-session workshops. Our programs promote a group comfort level where everyone is there to help and support each other learn to become a stronger leader. There are no stupid questions or ideas, and we continuously encourage open and honest communication. The exceptional team challenges make it fun and “experiential.” Choose from a variety of learning modules, including:
- Clear Communication for Leaders– this includes written as well as oral communication skills.
- Active Listening– people only retain about 5% of what they hear. Increasing this ability to listen and retain is crucial for leaders.
- How to have more effective meetings– including how to have fewer meetings with more impact.
- Working with Challenging Team Members- business is personal and people are human. We’re not all the same, so how do leaders work with those who pose challenges? This segment shows the value of working with and promoting those who may be seen as detriments to the organization. They can be “diamonds in the rough.”
- Conflict Communication– no one likes conflict, but it is an essential part of growing a business and a team. This session shows people how to think about conflict and how to use it to your advantage.
- Time Management Skills– we all “spin our wheels” on some days, and on other days “emergencies” knock us off of our scheduled day. This leadership training session helps people plan for these contingencies as well as how to quickly organize and prioritize their day for maximum progress.
- Can a Leader Also Be a Friend?- most of us are social beings, and making personal friendships with everyone on your team, including your boss, is common. When do these relationships pose an issue? How does a leader still coach and counsel their direct reports who are also “friends.” How do other team members feel when there is a “favorite,” and what should a leader do about it?
- What Makes a Good Leader? -Becoming a good leader is not something that just happens. What defines a good leader and how can you work towards being the best leader possible?
- Getting the Most from Your Team -You can learn to be a proactive leader and create ways of energizing your team. When your team members are excited about being part of the group, you can get extraordinary results. They won’t just be “doing a job;” they will be empowered to improve themselves and the team as a whole. And when teams “win”—they want to win more.
We offer half day and full day programs as well as multi-day leadership training.
