Our fun, go-anywhere “course” is low in risk and high in fun. It consists of 8 different events that help people learn about trust, practice, communication, perseverance, total participation, and the value of fun. These events can be done in a competitive way or non-competitive, depending upon your objectives and group size.
These are fun, group problem solving events are physical but not “athletic.” We call them “No Ropes,” because they either use no ropes at all, or in some cases one or two ropes. For example, in our Log Jam activity, two teams will stand on a long log. They are only inches above the ground, but their task is to trade places –without stepping off the log at all. They may use a rope that is tied to a nearby tree to help them maneuver—or not. Using the rope is just an option. There are many possible solutions.
These exercises will not make anyone scared. Rather than put people outside their comfort zone, this activity strives to enhance the skills and relationships that exist within the workplace.
This activity offers:
- Practice in teamwork and group problem solving
- Practice in accurate communications
- A fun, competitive way for people to get to know each other, build trust, bond together
- A supportive environment to enhance team leadership skills
- A powerful illustration of how practice increases team results
Facilitators lead the teams through the events. For each one, a different member of each team will be asked to play the role of the team leader.
